Thank you for coming back.
In my last 20+ years of experience in the Marketing field, I found out that most of the people relate Marketing mainly with “Sales”. In a way they are correct but definitely is not only this.
Dr. Philip Kotler was the father of Marketing and he gave the following definition:
“Marketing is the science and art of exploring, creating, and delivering value to satisfy the needs of a target market at a profit. Marketing identifies unfulfilled needs and desires. It defines, measures and quantifies the size of the identified market and the profit potential”.
For business, simply stating it, the key to the above is to identify needs, wants and desires of people that are not yet met. If you are able to identify what your customers’ look for to buy today because they want to satisfy a specific need (of today) and you can provide it, if you set an affordable and logical price then they will buy it from you BEFORE they buy from one of your competitors.
For people, if they didn’t notice it yet, they do marketing every single day. How? By trying to sell themselves to other people they meet. All of us, want to be liked and accepted by other people, henceforth we will show our best self to gain their attention and positive comments. It is normal! Our all life is a Marketing Process!
